Why These Retention Periods?

• 6 months for visitor data: Most A/B tests run for 2-8 weeks. Six months provides ample time for analysis while minimizing unnecessary data storage.
• 2 years for order data: This allows for year-over-year comparisons and meets standard financial record-keeping requirements.

Analytics Snapshots

For experiments completed older than 6 months, ABConvert creates analytics snapshots to preserve your experiment results while reducing computational overhead:

What is a snapshot?

A frozen calculation of your experiment's final statistics, including conversion rates, revenue metrics, and statistical significance.

When are snapshots created?

Automatically when an experiment reaches 6 months of age.

What does this mean for you?

• Historical experiment results remain accessible in your dashboard
• Statistics are not recalculated on each view, improving performance
• Raw visitor data is purged according to our retention schedule, but your key metrics are preserved

What Happens When You Uninstall

If you uninstall ABConvert from your Shopify store:

If you reinstall within 90 days, your data and experiment history will be preserved.
